Crafty?

I enjoy being crafty, but I feel like I never get the time. I took up cross-stitching this summer and have finished one and am working on a new one...
wanna see the one that I finished?

I haven't blogged in weeks, months even. I have had lots to say and time to say it. Why have I ignored my blog? I am not sure I can even give you an answer. I just haven't.

As this is my first post of the new year, lets re-cap shall we??

Jan - I was unemployed and very unhappy. I felt depressed, and really angry. Life wasn't going the way I planned and I complained alot about it.

Feb - Still unemployed but at least I was subbing every so often. I took a job as a waitress in a gross little resturant, also took a job with the city, crappy hours but I was proud that I was working. I was still angry that life wasn't turning out the way I wanted it to be, but was realizing that maybe God had another plan for my life.

Mar - Same as Feb. I was a little more aware that life could be worse. I was struggling as I thought I was going to lose my apartment and that meant also my cats. I was still applying to every job available, but wasn't recieving any bites.

Apr - Got a call from Invermay School. I was going to be interviewed for a 2/3 position to start mid April till the end of June. Drove 3 hours for the interview. Waited all day to have the postition offered to me. Quit all my jobs, found someone to room and keep my apartment in the city and moved to Invermay

May - Turned 24. Spent my weeks in Invermay teaching, and my weekends in Regina, lounging around, attending my new church.

June- Still teaching, loving every moment of it, but realized that my position was ending. I continued to look for a full time postition, hoping that Regina would call for that. Interviewed in Norquay, got called 1 hour later, and was offered the job. After jumping up and down and consulting Dad. I accepted.

July- Took a job at a call center in Regina to make money for the summer. Hated every minute of it, but I kept trying to see the bigger picture. Went to Craven on the Sunday and saw one of my favorite girls, Carrie Underwood. Travelled to Norquay to find a place to live. THERE WAS NOTHING, unless I wanted to buy. Decided to think.

Aug - Bought my very first house. Close to the school, needed lots of work, but at least I had somewhere to live. Moved in, and started going to the school immediatly.

Sept- Started teaching Grade 2, got conned into coaching Jr. Boys volleyball. Felt like I never had a moment to myself. I was either sleeping, eating or working in my classroom. My Grandpa passed away and it really hit that I had no Grandparents left. I joined the church here and was accepted right away. I loved it. Felt like home.

Oct - I started tap dancing lessons and really enjoyed myself. School was still busy, but was able to travel home for Thanksgiving and Dad's birthday.

Nov - I got seriously depressed, as it was close to the one year anniversary of my Grandmas passing. I really missed her and I wasn't sure what to do about it. Decided to travel to Saskatoon to visit a friend and to Brandon to see my sister. Spent the Grey Cup in Brandon, cheering on the Roughriders. Had a really good time with Hannah too.

Dec- I was crazy busy with the Christmas concert and school. It felt like once again I was never at home. I was so excited when school was completed for the year and I could finally spend some time with family and friends.

That was my year. It never fails to amaze me the amount of changes I've had over the past couple years. Three years ago if you had told me I would have packed up and moved to Norquay by myself I would have laughed in your face. I never would have believed I could have been able to do it or been brave enough. Its interesting to see thats for sure. Anyways, my resolutions this year have nothing to do with blogging but I'm hoping that I can keep this up. We'll see anyways.
