I am all over the place with this one......

Life is still going great in my small little Saskatchewan town. Everytime I go for a walk with my friend Megan, I feel like a celebrity. I guess seeing your teachers out of school is a big deal. I can remember thinking it was awesome when I was a kid, so its good to see the different side.

I did some paper mache activities with my kids on Friday. It was a gong show, but they loved it and I did too.

I realized that I really do love this teaching gig. I had to be away Thursday all day, and I missed my kids so much. Must be something to that I think.

I'm still unsure whether I have this position in the fall, but I have been applying for any applicable positions around Saskatchewan. Who knows where I'll be. Teaching in Invermay has definatly taught me that I can be adventurous. I never thought that I would have moved 2.5 hours away from home where I knew no one to take a teaching job. I honestly believe that being unemployed and having all those struggles in Jan-March definalty made me ready for this life adventure. I haven't regretted this move in the least and I am happy that I didn't let the fear of the unknown take over.

I have decided that I have no green thumb at all, as I got a Mothers Day plant and its already dead. I would really like though for someone to help me make my yard nice and inviting so that I can spend lots of time there this summer.

I had to pull my first tick off of one of my students. I should clarify actually, I didn't pull it off, because it grossed me out too much. I had my EA do it for me. Shes a farm wife and a Mom so she knows about those things.

Thats my news from Invermay. But before I go I have a general poll question. I hade this discussion with my Dad this weekend, that it is generally not very healthy, to be getting up 1-2 times a night to go pee. This is a recent trend for me, for I can guarentee that I will get up at least once, probably twice. So I want to know, how many times do you get up to go pee in the middle of the night? I know if your pregnant you go more often, but I can guareentee thats not the case with me, so come on, fess up, how many if any???

Update

Well I guess its time I write an update, although I'm not sure how many people are even reading this anymore.

Hmmmm, a whole lot has happened since the last time I updated.

I moved to Invermay, ahd have started teaching. I am loving my job. I like going to work every morning, and I don't even mind the after work marking. I am liking where I am staying. I have no complaints and I even learned that I like lamb. I also have made some friends, so I'm not completly alone. Its nice as I was scared that I wouldn't get to know anyone. Although I am sad as she will be moving at the end of the year, and what will I do then. Who will I have to be my friend then?? But honestly, the complaints I have about Invermay are small and insignificant. Oh, and there really isn't internet that I can access for a long period of time so that kinda bites.

I started class 101 at the church. I have been learning quite a bit and really enjoying it. Church and all that it implies, ie: relationship with God, and such have become really important to me. I can't imagine my life without him.

Koda and DJ are doing great. I'm sure they miss me during the week, or I would like to think they do. I know I miss them. I sure enjoy coming back to Regina on the weekend and getting to cuddle and snuggle with them.

The big push coming up will be the job push. May is the time of the year when school divisions do most of their hiring so I'm hoping to get something closer to the city, but definatly won't rule out Invermay if it is offered.

Thats about it that I can think about. I'm thinking that a tattoo is coming in the near future but I need someone who can make a design or something for it. I'm really not feeling the creativity, but seeing as its Mothers Day next weekend, and I want a tattoo with her initials I figured it was fitting. Anyways, I will try to keep this updated more, and please email and bug if its been that long again.
