Well I was going to write another one of those posts where I talk about the year, but I got most of the year captured in photo, minus the teaching part. So watch the video and you'll see how my year was.

Late.....

So I did something so stupid and so bad this morning........

I slept in. I normally get up between 5:30 and 6:00. I get ready and then I am out the door 7:30. Never later!!!

Now, not this morning, I woke up at 7:30. So not good. I was late for school. I didn't have time for a shower so I was feeling really gross.

Ahhh I hate sleeping in. I hope I never do that again, but I know it will happen. Its me we're talking about.

And so starts the Dinosaur Unit..........

I know its Christmas, but seeing as I have a Jehovah Witness (JW) I decided to scrap the whole Christmas ideas of gingerbread men and such. So I'm going with Dinosaurs. I love teaching dinosaurs so I think that it will be a fantastic month.

Its also my last month with these kids. They were my first class, they were a handful at times and complete little angels at other times.

Parent Teacher interviews went great. It was busy but for my first time, I think I did not too bad. There are always the horror stories and I have those too, but all in all, I was pretty proud of myself. I got lots of compliments from parents about their kids missing me and I can honestly say I feel the same way about those kids.

Anyways supposedly I have been having some depressing posts, so hopefully this one is alot more happy??

The year of change

I mentioned to my Dad today that if I knew how hard living in Regina would be, I wasn't sure I ever would have moved back. I have thought about that alot, and to tell the truth I'm not sure I would have ever wanted to grow up if I knew how hard life/adulthood was going to be.

But I have always said that I want to live with no regrets and my motto in life has always been to live. I'm trying to take this all in stride and realize that sometimes people have growing/changing years and other years it seems that life is just hunky-dory. The year of 2006 has been one of the most interesting, hard, exciting, fulfilling, scary _______(fill in the adjective) years of my life. I went from being a student in Brandon to interning in Regina. To Graduating from University with 2 degrees, with way better marks then I thought, to living paycheck to paycheck for the summer. To my first teaching job which was harder and scarier then I ever thought. I was loving this year and then my Grandma died. It was a huge shock and threw me in a huge tailspin. I have really been struggling with self-doubt and really feeling worthless. I know that I'm feeling like this for a hundred different reasons, but I'm working on it. I'm still grieving, still somewhat stressed with work, but hopefully that will work itself out. And I'm not going to the gym as much. I need to get my butt in gear, start feeling the workout high and maybe I'll want to go more.

I guess the point of this post was to put this all in perspective for myself. Push myself, and realize that life isn't all that sucky. I have the power and the choice to make my life go as good or as bad as I want it to be. I am saying today that I'm going to try to live life with a smile on my face and embrace the good and the bad.
