Well today I became an offical teacher. I mean I've been one for a while, but today I had my first group of students ever. It was interesting to say the least.

The kids are GREAT. The school is great.

The kids were really excited to be back at school and so I ended up cutting down some of the stuff and just let myself get to know the kids.

All in all, its going to be an incredibly busy but fun year.

School starts in T-minus 1 day!

Tomorrow is my first offical day of school. Granted there are no kids, but they are the big planning days. I went out to the school on Monday, and got myself acquainted with the school and one of my classrooms. I have an idea of how I want it decorated, now I just have to do the other two.

This semester is going to be CRAZY!!

I will be running all over the place and trying to fit in friends and family is going to be interesting to say the least.

I am also so incredibly nervous for the students to come. I never feel like I am prepared enough and this time because my future is riding on this job I am basically peeing my pants with fright. I'm sure the kids and parents will see right through me and call me a fake. The classroom stuff is scary, but being the resource (special ed) scares me the most.

So if you don't see me around here you'll know why.

Its a small world after all...

its a small world after all, its a small small world.........

That song came to mind when I looked at my stat-counter. I saw that counter on another blog somewhere and thought it would be interesting to have one on my own blog. I put one on and its so cool. I've got readers from California, New York, Manitoba, and right here in Sask.

Maybe its just a one time stop, but some have been repeat visitors. I love blogland. I love how people are connected. So comment, let me know who you are, where your from. First off let me start by saying that Elise was beautiful and CJ looked handsome and I wish them all the best.

I am home from the wedding and I'm feeling about thirty different emotions. So if this post seems random, I warned you.

I miss Brandon. But its not what it was and it will never be what it was. I'm lonely here tonight, and theres nothing I can do about it. I miss what it was and how it was. I don't want to go into the grown up world. I want to be prepping for University in Brandon and getting excited.

Not that I'm not excited to be teaching in Saskatchewan. I am, just sometimes, I feel like I'm settling. Settling in all the areas of my life and wondering when my dreams and hopes are going to come true. Will them come true??

I miss being part of a couple. I realized tonight that I want to be with someone, but not just anyone. I want to be with the one, and grow and learn and love. Whens it my turn? Or am I being too picky and too much of a scaredy cat to go for what I should. Have I ruined my chance of finding Mr. Right by settling for Mr. Right Now too often?

Tonight at the wedding I realized, probably for one of the first times, that my family is not traditional. Made me really miss my Mom. I think everytime I hit a big moment in my life I miss her just a little bit more. I wonder what she would be saying about this teaching gig, and if she'd help me plan and what wisdom she would give me.

how i long to feel

Wedding excitement!

I am very very excited.

This Friday I head to Brandon to go to a wedding of a couple I dearly love.

I met Elise and CJ this past year when they came to MDAC. I soon found a great friend in Elise who knew and understood me in ways I hadn't and haven't found in many people. CJ compliments Elise perfectly. He makes me laugh and I enjoyed his friendship as well.

I just can't wait to see these two married.

I am also very very very excited to see everyone else in Brandon who I haven't seen since I moved away!

On a another non-serious note. Last night was my first night sleeping in my bed since the albino grasshopper incident. I continually woke up wondering if the bug had come through the duct tape I put on my roof. Hopefully I can sleep tonite!

Well Sam asked for an update and here's whats been going on in Lindsayland....

• I finally duct-tapped the hole in my roof so I can sleep in my bed after a week on the couch.
• I lost my Tuesday shift at Wascana pool.
• I got my term extended by another week at Stats Canada which makes me really happy!
• I'm heading to Brandon next weekend to watch Elise and CJ get married. Very excited to see everyone.
• Meghan is here for a visit. I heart Meghan.
• Toe (Chantel) is coming for her Bridal shower. I'm quite excited to see her. I miss her.

Not too much is happening. I'm looking forward to getting into the classroom and working my little heart out. Any ideas to do in my first week are greatly appreciated.
