So I thought I'd update a little about the job. I am taking over a maternity leave until December. My primary job is going to be Kindergarten, as well as on my non-k days I will be the other teacher for the grade 1/2 split. I am also a parttime resource teacher. Four days a week, I will be teaching grades 4/5/6 art education and one day a week I will be teaching grades 7/8 computers.

I think my life is going to be very busy but incredibly fun. I can't wait until I can get in their in August and set up my classroom and do everything assocaited with it.

I guess I could share about the interview. I got there and they were running late. I ended up sitting with the secretary, talking and gabbing. My interview went incredibly well. I felt comfortable answering the questions and only had one that really stumped me, but they were okay, as it was one of those spur of the moment questions.

Anyways at the end of my interview, they asked if I had any questions and I just wanted to know when I would hear back. They told me to wait in the office, phoned my references and offered me the job right there. I was so shocked and incredibly happy!!!!

Anyways so I feel better knowing what I will be doing in the fall, now I just have the nerves of "Oh my goodness they are trusting me to teach their children!"

New Job!

So I got a new job. I am now working for Stat's Canada, calling all the people around Regina who have not sent in their census 2oo6 form.

This job thing was a huge worry for me, as I definalty couldn't live off the money I was making from the city. Anyways just thought I'd throw my new news into cyberspace.

Friend: a person you know well and regard with affection and trust

What exactly is a friend?
Someone you hang out with on a regular basis? Someone who laughs at all your jokes? Maybe its someone who knows what your saying even when you don't express it outloud? Is a friend someone who never calls? Someone who talks about you behind your back? Maybe a friend is someone who makes you laugh. Or is a friend someone you can say anything too, getting to the heart of an issue even when it may be upsetting or uncomfortable?
What is friendship all about?
I'm not to sure I know anymore. I don't know what I call a friend. This is something I'm trying to figure out.
I've never been one to have a lot of friends and I seem to doubt my friends intentions all the time.
"Oh they didn't call me, they probably don't like me"
"Why would they like me, I'm such a loser"
"They probably all talk about me behind my back and I'll never know"
I have utterly and completly fallen into my old patterns about friends. Maybe I am not being a friend, maybe I need to reexamine and call more and make myself more available. But maybe they are just sick of me. Maybe I need to get out there and somehow meet new people and get new life experiances. I guess I need to reexamine what a friend is to me, and what I am looking for in a friendship, sounds somewhat like a romantic relationship, But what if I'm not getting what I need and crave from a friendship?
Maybe I need to ask myself: Am I willing to give up a friend or friends to be more happy or will I be happier with that person in my life. Have you ever had to "dump" a friend before? Does that even happen?
Opinions?

I'm in a slump and I know it.
I'm don't know how to get out of it.
