The difference and a commendation

There is a huge difference between people with children and people without.
Case in point. I talked to two of my students Mom's today.
Both discussed with me about their daughters illness's. Ones "all bunged up" the other has a UTI. I don't know, but it just made me smile. Mom's must get used to talking about this stuff, where as, us non-Mom's are still learning.
Just gave me a little smile.
On a whole nother note. I asked the vice-prinipal to come into the classroom and do an observation for me today. Went really fantastic. I was really quite pleased. So I currently have one, ONE! week left of student teaching and then I'm done. Then I get to GRADUATE!!!
Anyways I'm off to do my marking. Have a great weekend!

6 things...

So i have this regular blog I read, her name is Elmwood, and she tagged me for share 6 things about me that not many people know. So here goes.....

1. I sleep with a teddy bear everynight. Sometimes its cause I just want something to cuddle but more often then not, its because I need something under my arm so that I feel comfortable. Stupid boobs!

2. Koda was my saving grace. Due to stupid life decisions and events, I was depressed. I really hated coming home alone and was so depressed. So I bought a kitty. Best decision I ever made.

3. I have rarely felt beautiful and have extremly low self-esteem. I think people are lying when they say I look good, and really struggle with it.

4. I am really scared to get a job where I have to move away. I am not sure I can move far away from my Dad.

5. I'm scared that I may have lost the one guy that was perfect for me, or that if I haven't met him, that I'm too judemental and I won't know its him.

6. I hate cooking and wouldn't do it if I didn't have to eat!

Drugs...

Not many of you know but I've been diagnosed with Polycsytic Ovarian Syndrome. Anyways I was finally able to get in and see the endocrinologist (sp?) and was given Metformin. Hopefully this is going to help stabilize my wieght, and help with a bunch of other symptoms.

Well its definatly going to help my wieght as its side effects are being nauseus (sp?) and all that good stuff. Needless to stay I started on Monday and I've been feeling incredibly sick since then. Not to mention that last night I had kickboxing and the instructor totally kicked my butt and I'm more sore today then I've been in a long time. *But Kim you'll be happy to know that I can scratch my own neck this time.*

Anyways I'm really hoping that I don't feel like this next week when I'm back at school teaching and working with those guys. I need to be in top-form or they'll eat me alive.

Live! My choices; my responsibilities; win or lose, only I hold the key to my destiny.

I don’t wanna spend my life jaded,
waiting
To wake up one day and find
That I let all of these years go by wasted
I don’t wanna keep on wishing,
missing
The still of the morning, the color of the night
I ain’t spending no more time wasted
*Wasted - Carrie Underwood
This is my new favorite song, because it totally speaks my new motto for life. Live: My choices; my responsibilities; win or lose, only I hold the key to my destiny. I refuse to live my life for other people. I've decided that the choices I've made, good and bad, to the choices I will make, good and bad. I will choose to see them as life lessons and I will quit regretting my choices.
I've come to the realizaton that I've made some pretty horrific decisions, but I could have done worse right? I know I could have and I didn't. I could have done better, but I didn't, and I've learned from that. I'm so thankful for this little life lesson I'm learning.
Happy Easter everyone!

Kickboxing class

So seeing as I was having the hugest pity party in the world for the last couple weeks I figured I should do something about it. So I joined Gold's Gym. I've been twice this week, and tonight I partook in my very first class.

Kickboxing!
I know. I didn't think I was coordinated enough, and to tell the truth I wasn't very coordinated. But it was a first time class, and I had fun. I know that tomorrow I'm gonna feel it. But I'm gonna feel good about myself.
Tomorrow night is my fitness assessment where they WIEGH me (not looking forward to it) and then teach me all the machines that I should be using on a regular basis to lose wieght. They also set me up with a food program. I won't be using that as I will be seeing a new docter about my PCOS, and I'll be getting a food plan with him. So hopefully this will take me out of my slump.

The Wheat Kings have dissapointed me greatly....

and thats all I'm going to say about that!

Anyways I just thought I'd update about my day yesterday. I was all by myself, all day long. My teacher was out with the flu, and the school was unable to get a sub in. So they let me have the class. How fantastic is that? I had a blast. It totally helped me realize that I am ready to have a classroom, and I will be a good teacher. Anyways the kids were great, and I'm glad i got to experiance that. I just wish I got paid for it.
