Don't read if you don't want to be part of my pity party...

Yep, I'm having a pity party agian.

I think I've been having a non-stop pity party for a while now. I am so dissatisfied with myself. I'm definalty dealing with some self-esteem issues. Once again, I'm struggling with my wieght, my looks, my friend abilities.

I tried to go shopping tonite. Nothing fit, and nothing looked good. Seriously, I'm not sure what is wrong with me. How do you get good self-esteem? I just want to feel good about myself!

So it seems that my cat Koda is a monster!

Carlene came home Friday night and just happened to look at DJ's ear. It was bloody and was missing all its hair. He didn't seem to concerned and let her touch it, and after trying to get ahold of me, she waited up. (I was bowling, and kicking ass too)

Anyways so me being the scaredy-cat parent, took DJ to the vet the next day. Hoping that he would tell me it was ear mites or something inside the ear not a bite mark.

Nope, definatly a bite mark. So, now I'm all confused cause why would Koda just suddenly decide to be this mean after living with DJ for so long. Anyways so while at the vet and seeing as I had to pay an arm and a leg anyways I decided to get the doc to check his heart murmer. Seems since Christmas, his murmer when from a stage four to a stage five. This is not a good thing, seeing as there are only six stages to a cat heart murmer.

So now, the vet goes on to tell me that Cats with this stage of heart murmer are subject to strokes and heart attacks. Randomly. So I am not to be surprised if I come home and I find a very sick or dead cat. Makes me sad. I really hope that he lives. I don't think I could handle coming home to that.

Anyways, both my Dad and the vet, said that Koda's change in behavior may come from the fact that animals tend to pick on the sick one in the bunch. Who knows. Hopefully I don't come home to anymore bloody ears. It costs to much, and I'm not into giving DJ pills.

to a pity party it seems.

I woke up this morning a little cranky and tired. Still being ravished from this cold and just not really wanting to get up today.

So I had already set myself up for failure.

Tonight I'm having a pity party about my singleness.

I'm sick of being single. I know I decided not to date until June, and I'm really happy I made that decision. For my own sanity.

But seriously, I'm doubting that I will ever meet anyone.

Are there any nice guys left? I'm not so sure there is. I just want to come home to someone and know they love me. They can understand my weird grade one teacher mannerisms (yep i have them, ask my roommate.) Someone who is okay with this "interesting" heartbreaking past of mine. Anyways I plan on being on this pity party for a while. Just bear with me.

My Last First Evaluation

Today was the last first evaluation. Went really well actually. The kids were so well behaved and I managed to feel comfortable and not nervous at all. At the end of my lesson, after I had set the kids up playing their math game, I began to walk around the classroom, answering questions and clarifying rules. I hear my name. One of my students has a nose bleed. Not a small one, but a huge one. Blood all over his chair and all over his clothes. Of course this would happen when I'm getting evaluated.

But I just took the student out, put him in the staff bathroom, right beside my classroom. Had him set up over the sink, and then went back to class and sent a student to find a janitor. Didn't really faze me till after.

Thankfully my advisor felt the same way. Gave me lots of credit for not getting super stressed and stuff. Anyways, so for the record, I've had to deal with poop, puke, blood, hurt feelings, and I'm not even a Mother!

As of tomorrow I will have been teaching for one week, and loving it.

I do have quite the interesting class. Yesterday I "layered" my clothes. I'm not hip, but my roommate informed me that layering is hip. Anyways, I walked into class, was was promptly told how hip I was. By a grade one student at that. Sweet deal! So I'm hip now. I'm a hip young teacher. Ha ha ha. Not really.

Anyways I have been teaching for a couple of days now, and I had my first evaluation today, by my teacher. It went really well, thanx for asking. Anyways so I'm not more witty. Have a great weekend everyone!!

My first day

So this was the last first day of student teaching I'll ever have to go through. Kinda happy, somewhat scared, little depressed. I have realized that I will be a full-blown adult soon. Yeah. Anywayz... the day was pretty good. I have a young amazing teacher who is super cool. Shes photocopying all resources for me. Sweet! The kids were pretty good. We had one little situation today, but all's well now.

My faculty advisor from the University, is the advisor I had last spring. She was super awesome, and I feel quite comfortable with her. Anyways the teachers and principal of the school are also quite amazing.

But for sure I am quite tired today. I don't think I sat down the whole day. Huge headache and I'm tired, so I will be going to bed early. Check ya later.

Seeing as I've been in Regina for two days I should probably update.

Well thats about it. Just kidding. So I'm moved in, and now we are just unpacking and setting up. I am really glad I made the decision to move a weekend early before I start student teaching, as I'm not sure I would feel as relaxed. Koda and DJ are settling in just great. Not eating a whole lot, but that comes with the readjustment. I'm keeping my eyes open.

I do have to share my new bathroom. Its really pink! Carlene let me keep a princess bathroom. I just love it. You'll have to come and check it out, or I'll post a picture.

Anyways I have a couple docters appointments this week that I'm somewhat nervous for, but its got to be done.

10 things I'll Miss

Today, I was challenged. A friend of mine, asked if I was even going to miss Brandon, seeing as I'm so excited to move to Regina. So I'd thought I'd make a list.

1. The Neufelds - I love this family so much. Its crazy. They have three boys under 6 and one more on the way, and I've never seen a family so excited. Yep, gonna miss them

2. The College and Career Group - this group challenges my faith all the time and makes me want to grow more and more. I will miss the crazy nights but also the nights of prayer and talk.

3. Hannah and the Bartlettes. I have seen Hannah grow up, and I love her more and more every day. Shes going to be one fantastic little girl!

4. Going to school everyday. Its been a routine for the last 17 years of my life (give and take) Its going to feel so wierd knowing I don't have to go to my school where I have to learn but I get to go and teach.

5. How small Brandon is. I love Brandon because of the small town feel but I love that it offers big city things. You can't beat it. I can get anywhere in Brandon in 10 minutes.

6. My house and roommate in Brandon. Kim and I have lived together for 2 years. I will definatly miss scaring the crap out of her, and watching Jag with her.

7. Friends. I have made some very good friends at this University, and I'm not sure when the next time I'll see them will be.

8. MDAC. My home church. I love it. I love the people, and the city. I LOVE EVERYTHING about it. Its definatly my home.

9. My hairdresser. I know that sounds silly. But I have been going to Melissa for two years. Haven't had a bad haircut yet. I'm not quite sure what I'm going to do without her.

10. Houstans. I could dance for hours there. I just love it. Its my old time country bar, and it is filled with many memories of the girls and I dancing our nights away.
